Why Use An Infinity Cove?

An Infinity Cove is a type of photography studio that is an all-white space with a curved, seamless background that gives the impression that it goes on forever. This creates an illusion of depth and opens up unlimited possibilities for photographers and videographers to create stunning and eye-catching visuals. The cove is usually painted in a neutral colour like white to allow the subject to stand out and the seamless background helps to eliminate any unwanted shadows or distractions. Here are a few reasons why we decided to install an infinity cove in our photography studio in Hertfordshire:

Illusion of unlimited space

The seamless and curved background of an infinity cove creates a feeling of infinite space and depth, which can be used to enhance the subject’s presence and provide a more dramatic effect.

Eliminates distractions

With a neutral coloured background, there are no distractions from the subject, allowing the focus to remain solely on the object being photographed or filmed.

Versatile

Infinity coves can be used for a wide range of photography and videography projects, including product photography, portrait photography, fashion photography, and much more.

Easy set up

Infinity coves are quick and easy to set up, allowing photographers and videographers to maximise their shooting time and get the most out of their projects.

Consistent lighting

The curved background of an infinity cove provides a consistent and even lighting, which is important for achieving accurate colour and exposure in photographs and videos.

Less editing

The cove allows a photographer to easily shoot subject from head-to-toe, with little editing/cropping needed to avoid undesirable background objects. While many photographers get along fine with white backdrops and smaller lighting boxes, an infinity curve allows a shooter to scale up and zoom out.
